Plastics Industry Showing Employment Optimism

27 March 2017

Earlier this year The British Plastics Federation (BPF) carried out it’s twice a year Business Conditions Survey.  With a record 78% of respondents expecting sales to increase in the next 12 months, 63% expecting exports to increase, and most are looking to invest.  A far more optimistic outlook than after the EU referendum last year.

The knock on effect being an increase in staffing levels over the course of this year.   An encouraging statistic for the employment market, however a record high of 65% said they were having difficulties recruiting.
