EBC Group, workplace technology and IT provider, held their annual Charity Golf Day at Worcestershire Golf Club on Friday 3rd August to raise funds for 2 charities. The event helped to raise £3000 for Stourbridge based Mary Stevens Hospice, who help terminally ill patients and their families, and Midlands Air Ambulance, who provide critical care to six Midlands Counties.
The Charity Golf Day, now in its third year, was supported by a number of national and local companies including Lawson Keys The England National Rugby Awards sponsors, who donated a signed England Rugby shirt which raised £50.
60 participants from a range of local businesses, entered to make up teams of four to take part in a number of competitions, including ‘Nearest the Pin’, ‘Longest Drive’ and even a ‘Hole in One’ competition with a sort after prize of a BMW 1 series. A prize ceremony took place after dinner and a charity auction, with Offshore Stainless Supplies taking top honours with 87 points, second place went to Lawrence Cleaning with a further 87 points and third place went to hole in one sponsor Rybrook BMW Ltd with 85 points.
